Steampunk Cindy

Hi everybody,

I am a massive fan of Lacy Sunshine images, after doing lots of colouring and practice I thought I should do one of the challenges on the challenge blog.

Here's my interpretation of steampunk Cindy I'm going for a retro vintage look.

Hope you like it.

3 embellishments, 2 papers and 1 image

Hi All

This is my second design team post for the Come and Get It Blog. The theme is 3 embellishments, 2 papers and 1 image.  I used a Scrapper's Delight image called Princess 4.

I used sparkly gel pens to make it sparkle in the light.

Thanks for looking.

My first design team post.

Recently I was asked to join the design team for the http://cagichallenge.blogspot.co.uk.

The theme this month is lots of layers.  I decided to make a post-it-note holder using a purple theme. I used the Chiba Elsa image from bugaboo stamps coloured using promarkers. The card stock and sentiment was from my big paper collection.

Thanks for looking.

Fireman nephew

My great nephew was one this week. Time flies it doesn't seem that long. He's very cute all blond hair and blue eyes.  His current favourite thing is Fireman Sam. I wanted to make a card that would appeal to him and his parents.  I had an idea to make a card that would stand up like a plaque.

After a good hunt around I found a digi of a small boy playing with a fire engine on the deariedolls blog. You can find it here http://freedeariedollsdigistamps.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/junior-fireman.html?m=1.

I had a sheet of Kanban background with a fence and blue sky, so I decided to    find a digi of a fire engine to colour and use as a background for a card which would feature a child in a garden playing with a fire engine while a fire engine goes past.

Here's my attempt

Can you feel the love.

Well, it is February the month of love x.  So I decided to make a girly Valentine's card just for fun!

I used Belinda's Heart Balloons stamp from Lacy Sunshine images. I made it a side easel card and hand cut and colored the gold hearts.

Promarkers used:
Skin tones: Coral, apricot, saffron, vanilla and blush
Lips and eyeshadow: purple gel
Hair: colour: burnt umber, terracotta, and chestnut.
Dress:   Grey: ice grey 1-4 with an over wash of sleigh bells colour. Red: berry red, red and lipstick red.

Paper: pink is hunkydory adorable scorable and the blue is American crafts.

I will enter this into the following challenges
ABC Challenge- Love, Romance, Wedding, Engagement,
Lacy Sunshine Challenge: Have a Heart

Frame it right

A few weeks ago my mother-in-law presented me with a sheet of A4 shiny green card.  It had been in her craft box for ages but she couldn't find a use for it.  I've been wondering what to do with it for a while and when I was on the train last night I had a really strange idea, I would try to make a frame out of it. So when I got home I got out my trusty crafters companion ultimate pro and boxer board.  I didn't want to create the same old square box type frame so I made the sides triangular.   I was really pleased with the effect that it created so I decorated it with some gold effect peel offs and used it to frame a Lacy Sunshine image (Constance Cherish Wings) I coloured a few weeks ago.   To make it stand up I used a Tim Holtz easel die from my collection.

Promarkers used:
Skin tones: apricot, saffron, vanilla and blush
Lips purple gel
Hair: colour: burnt umber, terracotta, and chestnut.
Dress: plum, amethyst and lilac.
Cat: ice grey 1,2 and 3
